Stan Pritchard from Greater Manchester is retiring from Glendale Foods following 27 years of dedicated service producing frozen food and feeding the nation.
Stan first joined Glendale as a factory operative in 1990 working his way around this state of the art production facility. During his term of office he was instrumental in developing processes ensuring the smooth running of the plant. Following the merger of Freshbake in 1998, the home of the ‘Yankee’ sausage and ready meal brand, Stan found himself developing his manufacturing palette producing sausages. In 2007, the company merged with The Great British Pudding Company introducing puddings to Stan’s menu. in 2012 Stan’s work environment went up in flames, The Glendale Foods manufacturing plant catching fire, resulting in the whole site being demolished and rebuilt, bringing with it new challenges with new plant and machinery. Stan said: “I have really enjoyed my time at Glendale Foods, it has been my second home for over 27 years. It has been very rewarding and challenging seeing frozen food develop for a changing market place. I will miss the people I have worked with, I have wonderful memories of my time here”.
Stan’s new time will be spent enjoying aircraft aviation, listening to late 40’s sound tracks and homing in on the shipping channels.
