Second year running awarded with an AA+ Grade from the BRC
Glendale Foods are delighted to announce they have been awarded second year running with an AA+ Grade from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) unannounced Global Standard for Food Safety; the highest grade awarded by BRC. Glendale Foods are enormously proud of their industry leading levels of quality and safety, and have long committed to long term investments in maintaining the highest standards.
BRC Global Standards are the leading international safety and quality certification standards, used in well over 120 countries worldwide, guaranteeing the highest standards in quality, safety and legal compliance internationally. The standards are the global standard, and include competence in HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards.
The audit covered all aspects of their Lancashire site, as well as an additional, voluntary, assessment of the meat supply chain, securing the highest accreditation for their whole operation, including the delivery and distribution networks beyond the site itself. The audit covered production of chilled and frozen raw meat, packaging lines, chilling and freezing of all Glendale Foods’ ranges, including dumplings, stuffing, microwave tray meals, waxed tray products, food grade paper packaging and potato lines, from conception to point of sale.
